Current Issues September 1, 2008 We had a number of problems this weekend stemming from noisy parties in the area. Complaints were effectively handled by the 115th precinct. August 18, 2008 Sgt. O'Brien of the 115th precinct paid a personal visit to us in regards to the noise issues we've been having. He spoke to the offending houses, at length, in regards to this. June 24, 2008 We paid a visit to Detective Adriane Johnson of Community AFfairs at the 115th Precinct this afternoon to let her know what's been going on regarding illegal storage practices on 100th Street, including liquor, appliances and old mattresses refurbished to sell as new. Detective Johnson states that she is getting the Department of Buildings involved in this. July 2, 2008 We spoke with Community Board 3 today regarding the late night parties that have been going on in our area that include huge speakers and megaphones. We are informed that the police can actually confiscate these items if the offenders continue to break noise code.

If you are having a problem on your block, please contact us so that we can get the 115th and the community board involved. Your information is confidential and when we log the calls or contact Community Affairs at the 115th, we are logging the complaint under the organization. THis way, complaints and/or concerns can be safely brought up, as there are a lot of complaints that go unsaid because of fear of retaliation or confrontation. You shouldn't have to learn to "live" with noise, filth and whatever else is bothering you. You shouldn't have to feel like you can't enjoy your neighborhood because of inconsiderate people that don't know how to respect their neighbors.
